Capture the Clinton! River Walk - The Big Day.

Far Left: Luke, age 3, helped his grandma
capture an overhanging elm tree...

left: below the dam was in full flood; whirlpools and torrents of water spilling from Dawson's Mill Pond. A week ago it had bee just a trickle.

Here are a couple of moments: directly above, Jim Ross enjoys the magical flood plain. It had been dry on our last visit, but some torrential thunderstorms a few days before sent lots of runoff into the Clinton River. Here is one place where it overflowed its banks, just like it's supposed to do, where it spreads out onto the flood plain, dropping sediments, cleaning the river. Foreground: Jill is capturing the
flooded plain, and a memory, on her paper.

Not only have you become a serious blogger, writer and digital communicator, but you show "great promise" as a photographer as well!

Perhaps these discoveries are indeed endless!

Congratulations on a GREAT INNOVATIVE Event! I will be looking forward to the Fall "Capture the Clinton" sequel.

Much continued success!
